EPA Region 9 Energy Management Workshop
October 5, 2010: 8am - 5pm
This workshop does not require conference registration and is offered at no cost.

This Innovative Energy Management Workshop takes a new approach in guiding drinking water and wastewater utilities through an energy assessment.

Our workshop includes:

  1. A hands-on introduction to EPA's Energy Management guidebook, a Plan, Do, Check and Act approach.
  2. A tutorial on ENERGYSTAR's Portfolio Manager, a on-line benchmarking and energy tracking tool
  3. Case studies on innovative utilities that have, for example, saved energy, water, and money by turning waste into energy
  4. An overview on funding options and the latest technology that can make energy efficiency a reality at your facility

Over the last two years, EPA headquarters and our regional office have worked together to prepare and deliver Innovative Energy Management Workshops throughout Region 9. We hope the workshops will facilitate greater inter-utility understanding and cooperation in achieving our shared priority to protect human health and the environment in the Pacific Southwest. This workshop will be the eighth and final one held in US EPA Region 9.
